Challenge Reset vs Funded Reset on FFUNDED
FFUNDED has two resets, and they are not the same. A Challenge Reset is free, exists only on Challenge accounts, and resets your progress and nothing else. A Funded Reset is a paid option on funded accounts only, and unlike the free reset it also clears warnings, strikes and user-facing rule violations. Neither one ever deletes internal compliance records.
Challenge Reset (free, Challenge accounts only)
A Challenge Reset resets your progress and restarts the challenge from day one. When it runs, all open positions close, the balance returns to its original starting figure, profit and loss resets to zero, and profit-target progress, drawdown progress, trading statistics and challenge progress all reset. You voluntarily forfeit any current profits.
It is available in two situations:
- Where required, following a first warning (1 of 2) on a warning-based rule. Trading stays suspended until the reset is completed.
- Voluntarily, at any time, as long as the account has not been breached, has no open positions, and profit or loss is at break-even ($0) or in profit. If the account is in loss, the voluntary reset is unavailable until you recover to break-even or better. A reset required after a first warning is not subject to that condition.
Important: a Challenge Reset does not remove warnings, rule violations or compliance history. Existing warning counts carry over, so if you were on a first warning for a rule, a further warning for that same rule breaches the account.
Funded Reset (paid, funded accounts only)
A Funded Reset is a paid option available on funded accounts. It is not available on Challenge accounts, and there is no paid reset for a Challenge account.
It is available only while all of these are true: the account has not been permanently breached, there are no open positions, the reset fee is paid, and the account's current maximum drawdown usage is still below 10%. Once usage reaches or passes that threshold, the option disappears.
When it runs, open positions close, the balance returns to the original funded balance (or the latest scaled balance where that applies), and profit and loss, trading statistics, payout progress, drawdown progress and trading progress all reset. Unlike a Challenge Reset, a Funded Reset also clears all warnings, strikes and user-facing rule violations, along with any trading restriction that came from them.
What neither reset touches
Internal records are never deleted by either reset. Anti-money-laundering and identity-verification history, fraud and abuse investigations, payment history, previous reset purchases and administrative notes all remain available to the Company.
Side by side

| Cost | Free | Paid |
| Resets progress and P&L | Yes | Yes |
| Clears warnings and strikes | No | Yes |

| Internal compliance records | Never deleted | Never deleted |
Common mistakes
- Expecting a free Challenge Reset to wipe a warning. It does not; warnings carry over.
- Waiting too long for a Funded Reset. Once max drawdown usage hits 10%, the option is gone.
- Trying to reset with open positions. Both resets require the account to be flat first.
- Assuming a reset erases your history. Compliance and payment records always remain.
Frequently asked questions
Does a Challenge Reset remove my warnings?
No. A Challenge Reset resets your progress and restarts the challenge from day one, but existing warnings, rule violations and compliance history carry over. Only a paid Funded Reset clears warnings and strikes, and it is available on funded accounts only.
Is the Challenge Reset free?
Yes. A Challenge Reset is free and available on Challenge accounts only. A Funded Reset, available on funded accounts, is a paid option.
When can I no longer buy a Funded Reset?
A Funded Reset is only available while your account's current maximum drawdown usage remains below 10%, with no open positions, no permanent breach, and the fee paid. Once usage reaches or exceeds 10%, the option is no longer available.
Do resets delete my KYC or payment history?
No. Neither reset deletes internal records. Identity-verification and anti-money-laundering history, payment history, prior reset purchases and administrative notes are always retained.
