How Much Do Prop Firm Affiliates Earn Per Referral?
Most affiliate pages advertise a percentage and stop there. A percentage of what, exactly, is the question that decides your income, and it is almost never answered. This article answers it with real numbers: the smallest commission the FFUNDED program can pay on a single referral, the largest, and every rung in between.
The rule in one line
You earn your level's percentage of the amount the customer actually pays.
Not the list price, not the plan size. The amount charged, after any discount that was applied to the order. That distinction matters here more than in most programs, because on FFUNDED your commission rate and your audience's discount are the same number. A Starter partner earns 12% and hands out 12% off. An Elite partner earns 30% and hands out 30% off. One code does both jobs, so the fee your referral pays is genuinely lower than the sticker price, and your commission is calculated on that lower figure.
That is the honest version of the maths. Programs that quote commission on the pre-discount price are quoting a number nobody gets paid.
The floor: the cheapest account we sell
The lowest priced account on the pricing page is the 3 Step plan at the $5,000 size, listed at $24. Here is what one referral of that account pays out at each level.
| Level | Rate | They pay | You earn |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | 12% | $21 | $2.52 |
| Rise | 17% | $20 | $3.40 |
| Growth | 22% | $19 | $4.18 |
| Prime | 26% | $18 | $4.68 |
| Elite | 30% | $17 | $5.10 |
So the absolute minimum a single qualified referral can produce is $2.52. That is the floor of the entire program, and it only happens when a brand new partner refers a buyer to the single cheapest account on the site.
It is worth knowing the floor for one reason: ten qualified referrals unlock the next level. Even at the worst case, at the cheapest plan, that is $25.20 earned on the way to a permanent rate increase from 12% to 17%. The level never drops back.
The ceiling: the largest account we sell
The most expensive account is the Instant plan at the $400,000 size, listed at $2,540. Same arithmetic, same five levels.
| Level | Rate | They pay | You earn |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | 12% | $2,235 | $268.20 |
| Rise | 17% | $2,108 | $358.36 |
| Growth | 22% | $1,981 | $435.82 |
| Prime | 26% | $1,880 | $488.80 |
| Elite | 30% | $1,778 | $533.40 |
$533.40 is the largest single first-purchase commission the published ladder pays, and $268.20 is what that same referral pays a partner on their very first day in the program. Elite partners can also negotiate custom terms above 30%, so the ceiling is a published figure rather than a hard one.
Note the shape of that table. Between Starter and Elite the commission roughly doubles, but the customer's cost falls by $457 at the same time. Your rate rising is not something your audience pays for.
The middle, which is where the real money is
Neither the floor nor the ceiling describes a normal month. The $100,000 Instant account at $720 is a far more typical purchase.
| Level | Rate | They pay | You earn |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | 12% | $634 | $76.08 |
| Growth | 22% | $562 | $123.64 |
| Elite | 30% | $504 | $151.20 |
Twenty referrals a month at Growth on that account is $2,472. The same twenty at Elite is $3,024, and the buyers are paying $58 less each.
Recurring commission, the part nobody advertises
Every level above Starter also earns on that trader's later eligible purchases. Rise earns 2% on up to 3 of them, Growth 3% on up to 5, Prime 4% on up to 8, Elite 5% on up to 10.
Traders in this industry buy again. They reset, they scale, they add a second account. So take one referred trader on that $400,000 Instant account, referred by an Elite partner, who goes on to buy the maximum eligible repeats:
$533.40 on the first purchase, plus 5% of $1,778 which is $88.90, ten times over, for $889. Total from one person: $1,422.40.
That is why the recurring line matters more than the headline rate. A program with a bigger first-purchase percentage and no recurring tail can pay you less over a year.
What changes the number, and what does not
Add-ons count. If your referral buys the profit split upgrade or a swap-free add-on, those sit inside the order total, and your percentage is applied to the whole thing.
Refunds reverse it. A refunded or charged-back order reverses the commission, though it does not take away a level you have already reached.
Account size does not pay you directly. Commission is a share of the fee, not of the simulated capital. A $400,000 account pays more than a $5,000 one because it costs more, not because it is bigger. Traders on FFUNDED trade simulated capital and the profit share they withdraw is real money, which is worth stating plainly to your audience.
Nothing is capped. There is no ceiling on how many traders you refer in a month, and no clawback for volume.
Frequently asked questions
What is the minimum an affiliate can earn from one referral?
$2.52. That is a new partner at the Starter rate of 12%, referring a buyer to the cheapest account on the site, the 3 Step plan at the $5,000 size. Commission is calculated on the $21 that buyer actually pays after the 12% their code gives them.
What is the maximum an affiliate can earn from one referral?
$533.40 on a single first purchase, which is an Elite partner at 30% on the $400,000 Instant account. Adding the full recurring tail from that same trader takes it to $1,422.40. Elite partners can also agree custom commission terms above 30%, so that published figure is not a hard limit.
Is commission paid on the price before or after the discount?
After. Your commission is a percentage of the amount charged, and because your rate and your audience's discount are the same number, the amount charged is below list. Quoting the pre-discount figure would overstate what lands in your account, so we do not.
Do I earn anything if my referral buys a second account?
At Rise and above, yes. Rise earns 2% on up to 3 eligible repeat purchases from that trader, Growth 3% on up to 5, Prime 4% on up to 8 and Elite 5% on up to 10. Starter earns on the first purchase only. Full terms sit on the affiliate terms page and the program itself is on the affiliates page.
Every rule above is published before you pay
Five plans, from $5,000 to $400,000 in simulated capital. No time limit on any evaluation, an 85% profit split from your first payout, and every drawdown figure stated on the plan card rather than buried in a PDF.
Accounts trade simulated capital in a demo environment. Payouts are real money based on simulated performance. Trading involves substantial risk.
